“Portrait de jeune Femme aux Roses” – Oil painting “Portrait of a young woman with roses” by Tommaso de VIVO (1790-1884). Artist was an Italian painter active mainly in Naples – specialized above all in portraits of historical figures, he was a pupil of Vincenzo Camuccini from whom he took inspiration for his works. He also showed interest in the French Academy in Rome and in French painting inspired by Léopold Robert . He studied mainly at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples and in 1838 he was a member of the Congregation of the Virtuosi at the Pantheon .
